Harvest is an LP by Neil Young from 1972 released on the Reprise Records label.

About this album

Harvest is Neil Young’s defining statement, the 1972 album that turned his folk-rock instincts into one of the most enduring records of his career. Built around plainspoken songs such as Heart of Gold, Old Man and The Needle and the Damage Done, it balances intimate acoustic writing with fuller country-rock arrangements and stark emotional directness. Recorded with a wide circle of musicians including the Stray Gators, the album helped make Young a major solo star and became one of the key works of the singer-songwriter era. Its commercial success and lasting critical reputation have kept it central to rock history.
