The record includes standout songs such as “Coldwater Morning”, “Done Too Soon” and “He Ain’t Heavy... He’s My Brother”, while the album’s second side moved into the multi-part “The African Trilogy”, giving the set an unusual sweep for a mainstream rock release. It helped cement Diamond’s reputation as a major writer-performer of the era.
