Country, My Way is an LP by Nancy Sinatra from 1967 released on the Reprise Records label.
About this album
Country, My Way shows Nancy Sinatra giving country material a cool, contemporary pop edge without losing its emotional directness. Issued in 1967, the album drew on country, folk-rock and country-rock styles at a moment when Nashville sounds were crossing into the wider pop market. Sinatra’s poised phrasing and understated authority turn songs such as Jackson and End of the World into something bracingly modern, while the arrangements keep the focus on melody and feeling. It stands as one of her strongest late-1960s albums and a fine example of how she could make other writers’ songs unmistakably her own.
