The Black Parade is an LP by My Chemical Romance from 2015 released on the Reprise Records label.
About this album
The Black Parade is My Chemical Romance’s most ambitious and widely celebrated album, a theatrical rock opera that pushed emo and pop punk into grand, arena-sized territory. Released in 2006, it was produced by Rob Cavallo and built around a concept of mortality, memory and performance, with ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ becoming the band’s signature anthem. The record broadened their audience well beyond the alternative scene and helped define mid-2000s rock with its dramatic scale, sharp hooks and emotional intensity. Widely regarded as a modern genre landmark, it remains the album most closely associated with the band’s legacy.
