Mungo Jerry – Long Legged Woman (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1974

Long Legged Woman is an LP by Mungo Jerry from 1974 released on the Dawn label.

About this album

Long Legged Woman finds Mungo Jerry leaning into punchy, good-time pop rock with the easy swagger that made them one of the more distinctive British hitmakers of the early 1970s. Issued in 1974, the album builds on the band’s blues and skiffle roots while keeping the arrangements lean, catchy and built for instant recall. Best known for their chart-topping breakthrough in the previous decade, Mungo Jerry here broadened that formula with brisk rockers and raucous, beer-stained charm. It is a lively snapshot of a group still chasing hooks, groove and rough-edged fun rather than polish.
