Mondo Rock – Boom Baby Boom (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1986

Boom Baby Boom is an LP by Mondo Rock from 1986 released on the Polydor label.

About this album

Boom Baby Boom is a tight, polished pop-rock album that finds Mondo Rock leaning into crisp hooks and mainstream confidence. Released in 1986, it is anchored by the title track and the momentum of songs such as Primitive Love Rites, both of which helped keep the band prominent in Australian rock during the mid-1980s. The record reflects the group’s knack for balancing accessibility with punchy guitar-driven arrangements, showing why Mondo Rock remained one of the country’s most dependable commercial rock acts. It stands as a strong late-career statement from a band that knew how to write immediately memorable singles.
