Mogwai – Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. (VG+/E) – 2xLP, US 2011

Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. is an LP by Mogwai from 2011 released on the Sub Pop label.

About this album

Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. finds Mogwai sharpening their post-rock language into one of their most immediate and disciplined albums. Released in 2011, it balances surging guitars, patient build-ups and sudden dynamic shifts with a stronger sense of melody than much of their earlier work. The record includes standout pieces such as ‘Rano Pano’, ‘Mexican Grand Prix’ and ‘George Square Thatcher Death Party’, which helped make the album one of the band’s most accessible entry points without softening their impact. By combining muscular drive with atmospheric detail, Mogwai turned heaviness into something leaner, more focused and memorable.
