Off The Wall = オフ・ザ・ウォール is an LP by Michael Jackson from 1982 released on the Epic, Epic/Sony label.
About this album
Off the Wall is the album that turned Michael Jackson into a fully formed solo star, balancing disco, funk and pop with remarkable polish and ease. Released in 1979 and produced by Quincy Jones, it drew Jackson beyond his Motown roots into a sleek, contemporary sound shaped by irresistible rhythms and glossy vocal layering. Singles such as Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough and Rock With You became major hits, while deeper cuts like She’s Out of My Life showed a more vulnerable side. Widely regarded as a landmark of late-1970s pop, the album helped define the boogie era and set the stage for Jackson’s even greater success in the years that followed.
