Marlene Dietrich – Marlene Dietrich (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1973

Marlene Dietrich is an LP by Marlene Dietrich from 1973 released on the MCA Records label.

About this album

Marlene Dietrich distils her smoky cabaret style and screen-star charisma into a finely poised collection of timeless vocal standards. Issued in 1973 as a compilation, this set draws on the German-born singer and actress’s distinctive recordings, where cool, measured phrasing and conversational intimacy turn songs into elegant dramatic scenes. Best known for songs such as “Falling in Love Again” and “Lili Marlene”, Dietrich helped define a cosmopolitan performance style that crossed cabaret, pop and torch-song traditions. Her influence extended far beyond film, making her one of the most recognisable vocal personalities of the 20th century.
