Pop icon Madonna has released a lot of music over the course of her career. Among them are plenty of first-class pop gems, and "Something To Remember" is made up of just that. Many ballads from different from different release periods come together in perfect symbiosis. This delicate piece of music fulfills every expectation of top-class pop ballads, with a successful cover artwork on top.
There are beautiful pieces to be found, such as the gentle, romantic "I'll Remember", the thoughtful "You'll See" or the wonderful "Take A Bow". The slightly erotic "This Used To Be My Playground" and the fervently sung "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" also join this wonderful series of melancholic, smoothly produced songs. Written by keyboardist and producer Patrick Leonard and Madonna, "Live To Tell" is a typical piece from the eighties that perfectly captures the atmosphere and zeitgeist of the period. The album begins with the ambient-like trip-hop track "I Wan't You", which resulted from a collaboration with Massive Attack. The rather gloomy and depressive mood then changes to a gentle, melancholy and dreamy atmosphere with "I'll Remember" Atmosphere. Rain" is another big hit that many people born before 1985 will remember as a video. And not to forget: Madonna has now sold more than 300 million records worldwide, one more reason to revisit her softer side on vinyl, especially as the original LP has not been available for a long time...
