Condition: Brand New
When Mac Miller died, he shook not only his fans but also his label. Tom Corson, Co-Chairman and COO of Warner Bros. Records, commented on the unforeseen event: "All of us at Warner Bros. Records are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic news of Mac Miller's premature death. Mac was an extremely talented and inspiring artist, with a pioneering spirit and a sense of humour that touched everyone he met. Mac's death is a devastating loss and shortens a life and a talent with great potential [...]. We join all his fans all over the world to share our thoughts and prayers with his family and friends"
Here he combined funk and soul with his typical character. The album includes a collection of songs that show that Mac Miller had the full musical spectrum at his disposal. The Pittsburg-born rapper collaborates in "Swimming" with J. Cole, Dam-Funk, Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Thundercat, Steve Lacy (The Internet), Syd and John Mayer. With "Swimming" Mac Miller makes another statement and shows that he was a great musician. In 2007 he released his first mixtape "But My Mackin' Ain't Easy" at the age of 15. Since then, all of his albums have reached the top 5 in US. His debut album "Blue Slide Park" even reached #1 of the US album charts in 2011.
