The Story Of Lenny (What I Was Arrested For) is an LP by Lenny Bruce from 1975 released on the Casablanca label.
About this album
To Is A Preposition; Come Is A Verb captures Lenny Bruce’s landmark anti-establishment stand-up at its most provocative and influential. Issued in 1970, it draws on routines that helped redefine modern comedy through freewheeling, language-driven satire and fearless attacks on censorship, religion, race and sexual hypocrisy. Bruce’s delivery is restless, confrontational and often painfully funny, turning spoken word into a form of social criticism that helped open the door for later confessional and political comics. Long after its release, his work remained a touchstone for comedy that tests the limits of free expression.
