Ultraviolence is an LP by Lana Del Rey from 2021 released on the Interscope Records, Polydor label.
About this album
Ultraviolence is Lana Del Rey’s most fully realised reinvention, replacing the hazy retro glamour of her debut with a darker, more abrasive blend of dream pop, indie rock and psych-leaning balladry. Released in 2014, the album expands her signature themes of obsession, self-destruction and American myth with a heavier, more live-sounding palette, drawing on the guitars and widescreen mood that frame songs such as West Coast, Shades of Cool and Brooklyn Baby. Working with producer Dan Auerbach, Del Rey delivered a record that deepened her critical standing and confirmed her as one of pop’s most distinctive and commercially durable auteurs.
