    Kruiz is a hard-hitting late-1980s metal album that helped push Soviet rock towards thrash intensity and heavy metal precision. Released in 1988, it showed the Russian band sharpening its sound into fast riffs, aggressive rhythms and a much heavier attack than its earlier work. Songs such as Knight Of The Road, Brave New World and In Flames! underline its international ambition, while the Russian version of In Flames! reinforces its identity at a time when heavy music in the USSR was still finding its voice. The record remains an important marker in the evolution of Russian metal.
