Kiss – Hot In The Shade (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1989

Hot In The Shade is an LP by Kiss from 1989 released on the Mercury label.

About this album

Hot In The Shade shows Kiss sharpening their hard rock formula for the late 1980s, balancing polished sheen with big, immediate hooks. Released in 1989, the album marked the band’s return to a fuller, more guitar-driven sound after a period of commercial uncertainty, and it is best known for the ballad Forever, one of Kiss’s biggest late-period hits. Alongside that standout, the record moves between anthemic hard rock, melodic choruses and radio-friendly arrangements, reflecting a band still committed to crowd-pleasing spectacle while adapting to changing mainstream tastes. It remains an important entry in the group’s long catalogue.
