About this album
Animalize marked a sharp commercial rebound for Kiss, reasserting the band as a major hard rock force in 1984. Featuring “Heaven’s on Fire”, one of their biggest 1980s singles, the album traded in slicker production and tighter hooks while still delivering the muscular riffs and arena-sized choruses that defined their sound. It arrived during the group’s post-make-up era and helped restore their chart presence with a more radio-ready approach. The record’s blend of hard rock polish and durable songwriting made it an important pivot point in the band’s long-running career.
