Killing Joke – Brighter Than A Thousand Suns (E/VG+) – LP, AU 1987

Brighter Than A Thousand Suns is an LP by Killing Joke from 1987 released on the EG label.

About this album

Brighter Than A Thousand Suns is a fierce, polished statement from Killing Joke at a point when their post-punk attack had hardened into a more streamlined new wave force. Released in 1986, the album pairs militant rhythm, tension and melody with a sharper commercial edge, giving songs such as Adorations and Sanity a brooding but hook-driven impact. It followed the band’s early 1980s breakthrough and reflected their growing influence on industrial, goth and alternative rock. The record stands as one of the group’s most accessible and best-known 1980s albums, balancing bite, atmosphere and melody without diluting their severity.
