Kelly Lee Owens – Inner Song

"Inner Song" follows her self-titled debut from 2017, a mixture of body-centered beats and introspective songwriting that has received numerous awards from the music press. Since then she has remixed Björk & St. Vincent, released an indelible club two-track, "Let It Go" b/w "Omen" in 2019, and teamed up with like-minded author Jon Hopkins for the unique "Luminous Spaces".

Her new album was also the result of what Owens describes as "the hardest three years of my life", an emotionally charged time which, as she says, "definitely influenced my creative life and everything I had worked for until then" So while the beautiful cover of Radiohead's "Arpeggi" may seem to some as an unconventional way to open their second album, Owens' sinuous interpretation of the classic melody - recorded a year before work on "Inner Song" really got underway - represents the kind of sonic rebirth that is so essential to the aura of "Inner Song".
