  • This is the highly anticipated second album from the influential heavy metal legends. Rob Halford takes center stage as an outstanding vocalist, belting his way through nine rousing songs, while K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton let their guitars wail in a frenzy of riffs.

A combination that has earned the band a fanatical worldwide following.

“Sad Wings of Destiny” is the second album by the British heavy metal band Judas Priest, released in 1976. The album cover, titled “Fallen Angels,” was illustrated by Patrick Woodroffe. It is best known for introducing the fork-like symbol known as the “Judas Priest cross,” which is carried by the angels. “Sad Wings of Destiny” was Judas Priest’s second and final studio album released while under contract with Gull Records, an independent British label. Although the band was praised by critics, it struggled with financial problems due to a lack of support from the label. Shortly after a change in management, the band parted ways with Gull and signed with Columbia Records.
