Rocka Rolla is an LP by Judas Priest from 1979 released on the Visa Records label.
About this album
Rocka Rolla is the promising, bluesy debut that first introduced Judas Priest’s heavy riffing and dramatic edge. Issued in 1974, the album shows the band still shaping their identity, blending hard rock drive with prog-rock detours and a looser, more exploratory feel than their later metal classics. Produced by Rodger Bain, who also worked with Black Sabbath, it captures a young Judas Priest before the image and sound became fully hardened. While not as influential as their later albums, it remains an important early statement, featuring songs such as Never Satisfied and Run of the Mill and revealing the roots of one of metal’s defining bands.
