Judas Priest – Ram It Down (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1988

Ram It Down is an LP by Judas Priest from 1988 released on the CBS label.

About this album

Ram It Down is a hard-hitting late-’80s Judas Priest album that tightens the band’s heavy metal formula with extra speed and bite. Released in 1988, it arrived after the success of Turbo and before the twin-guitar return of Painkiller, showing Priest balancing commercial polish with a more aggressive edge. The title track, Hard As Iron and the widescreen Blood Red Skies underline Rob Halford’s command and the band’s muscular precision, while their version of Johnny B. Goode nods to rock’n’roll roots. It is widely regarded as an often-overlooked part of Priest’s catalogue, but one that captures the band’s resilience and enduring metal identity.
