John Denver – John Denver's Greatest Hits, Volume 2 (VG+/VG) – LP, AU 1977

John Denver's Greatest Hits, Volume 2 is an LP by John Denver from 1977 released on the RCA Victor label.

About this album

John Denver’s Greatest Hits, Volume 2 distils his most familiar 1970s work into a concise showcase of country-pop craftsmanship and broad crossover appeal. Issued in 1977, the compilation brings together signature songs such as Annie’s Song, Thank God I’m a Country Boy, Back Home Again and Calypso, all of which helped make Denver one of the era’s most successful and approachable singer-songwriters. His clear tenor, acoustic writing and gentle blend of folk, country and soft rock gave these recordings lasting radio and chart life, and this set underlines why his songs remained so widely loved well beyond the folk scene.
