I Love Rock 'N Roll is an LP by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts from 1982 released on the Liberation Records label.

About this album

I Love Rock ’N Roll is the hard-rock breakthrough that turned Joan Jett into a major mainstream force. Released in 1981 with The Blackhearts, the album fused punk attitude, tight guitar riffing and an unapologetic toughness that made Jett one of rock’s most commanding frontwomen. The title track became an era-defining hit and a lasting anthem, while covers such as “Crimson and Clover” showed her instinct for stripping songs down to their essentials and giving them new bite. The record helped bridge punk’s DIY spirit with radio-friendly rock, making Jett a lasting influence on later generations of female rock artists.
