About this album

Casual Gods is a sharp late-’80s solo statement from Jerry Harrison, best known as a key member of Talking Heads. Released in 1988, the album blends pop-rock drive with synth-pop polish, turning his appetite for rhythmic detail and studio experimentation into a more direct, song-led sound. Harrison’s instincts as a producer and arranger are clear throughout, with taut hooks and bright electronic textures giving the record a sleek, contemporary edge. It stands as one of his most accessible solo works, linking art-rock intelligence to mainstream radio ambition without losing its нервy energy.
