Jeff Beck – Wired (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1976

Wired is an LP by Jeff Beck from 1976 released on the Epic label.

About this album

Wired finds Jeff Beck sharpening the fusion approach he pioneered on Blow by Blow, pushing guitar-led instrumental rock into jazz-rock and funk territory with greater bite and precision. Released in 1976, the album pairs Beck’s fluid phrasing with taut arrangements and studio polish, including contributions from key collaborators such as Jan Hammer and Max Middleton. Highlights like Blue Wind and Good-bye Pork Pie Hat show how the record balances technical fire with melodic focus and restrained lyricism. Widely regarded as one of Beck’s essential 1970s statements, Wired confirmed his reputation as a guitarist who could turn virtuosity into something both adventurous and accessible.
