Step Into The Heat is an LP by James Freud from 1989 released on the Mushroom label.

About this album

Step Into The Heat is a sharp, hook-driven pop rock album that shows James Freud refining his knack for melodic, radio-ready songwriting. Released in 1989, it sits firmly in the late-1980s Australian rock and pop landscape, where polished production and strong choruses were key to standing out. The album balances punchy guitar lines with a more accessible pop sensibility, giving songs such as Hurricane and One Fine Day real momentum without losing edge. It reflects Freud’s ability to write straightforward, memorable songs with enough personality to outlast the era’s gloss.
