Jack Scott gathers the Canadian-American singer’s key early rock and rockabilly recordings into a concise portrait of his appeal: tough, echo-laden vocals paired with melodically sharp, teen-oriented songs. Best known for early-'60s hits such as The Way I Walk, My True Love and What In The World's Come Over You, Scott bridged rockabilly grit and pop accessibility with unusual ease. This 1975 compilation draws on the recordings that made him a cult favourite and an influential figure for later roots-rock performers, especially for the way he balanced emotional directness with a hard-edged delivery. It is a strong introduction to one of early rock’s most distinctive voices.
