Iron Maiden – Iron Maiden (E/VG+) – LP, AU 1982

Iron Maiden is an LP by Iron Maiden from 1982 released on the EMI label.

About this album

Iron Maiden announced a major new force in heavy metal. Their 1980 debut fused punk speed, hard rock muscle and twin-guitar harmonies into a lean, aggressive statement that helped define the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. With Paul Di’Anno on vocals and the early line-up already sounding battle-hardened, the album set out the band’s dark, dramatic identity through songs such as Running Free, Phantom of the Opera and Iron Maiden. It remains a landmark first step for a group that would go on to become one of metal’s biggest names, and a key release in the genre’s evolution.
