Live is an LP by Iron Butterfly from 1970 released on the Atlantic label.

About this album

Iron Butterfly’s Live is a heavy, crowd-tested showcase for the band’s late-1960s psychedelic hard rock. Issued in 1970, it captures the group leaning into extended improvisation, muscular riffs and the organ-driven sound that made them one of the era’s loudest and most recognisable acts. Built around long-form performances rather than concise singles, the album reflects the excess and ambition of the live rock circuit at the turn of the decade. It also gives their biggest anthem, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, a new concert context, underlining why the song became such a durable marker of psychedelic rock.
