Inspiral Carpets – Life (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1990

Life is an LP by Inspiral Carpets from 1990 released on the Mute label.

About this album

Life is a sharp, hook-heavy indie rock statement that helped define Inspiral Carpets’ early 1990s breakthrough. Released in 1990, the album pairs chiming guitars and organ-led melodies with a distinctly Northern English edge, giving the band a sound that sat neatly between Madchester swagger and classic pop concision. It includes This Is How It Feels, one of their best-known songs, alongside other strong cuts such as She Comes In The Fall and Real Thing. As an early album from one of the era’s most distinctive alternative bands, Life helped cement Inspiral Carpets’ reputation beyond the club circuit.
