Humble Pie – Town And Country (F/F) – LP, AU 1969

Town And Country is an LP by Humble Pie from 1969 released on the Immediate label.

About this album

Town And Country is a revealing early Humble Pie album, balancing blues rock grit with folk rock and hard rock muscle. Released in 1969, it finds the band refining the mix of acoustic colour, tight harmonies and amplified drive that defined their first phase. The record reflects a group still shaping its identity before their better-known early-1970s breakthrough, with songs such as Take Me Back, The Sad Bag Of Shaky Jake and Home And Away showing both their rootsy side and their growing power. It stands as an important step in Humble Pie’s evolution from promising newcomers to hard-rock heavyweights.
