Heart – Little Queen (VG/VG+) – LP, AU 1977

Little Queen is an LP by Heart from 1977 released on the Portrait label.

About this album

Little Queen sharpened Heart’s blend of hard rock and folk-rooted melodicism into one of the band’s defining statements. Released in 1977, the album followed their breakthrough Dreamboat Annie and showed Ann and Nancy Wilson pushing heavier riffs, tighter arrangements and more assertive songwriting. “Barracuda” became the album’s signature track and one of the group’s most enduring songs, its biting energy helping cement Heart’s reputation well beyond their earlier success. Across the record, the band balances muscular rock with acoustic shading and strong vocal harmonies, making Little Queen a key chapter in 1970s American rock and a lasting showcase for the Wilson sisters’ range.
