Hawkwind – Masters Of The Universe (VG+/VG) – LP, AU 1977

Masters Of The Universe is an LP by Hawkwind from 1977 released on the United Artists Records label.

About this album

Masters Of The Universe is a strong Hawkwind compilation that distils the band’s most important early work into one hard-driving set. Formed in the late 1960s, Hawkwind helped define British space rock by fusing heavy guitar, motorik rhythm and sci-fi imagery into a sound that felt both psychedelic and punishingly direct. By the time this collection appeared in 1977, the band had already built a formidable reputation through songs such as Master Of The Universe, Brainstorm, Sonic Attack and Orgone Accumulator. The result is a concise overview of a group whose raw, cosmic approach fed later punk, metal and underground rock scenes.
