Harry Nilsson – Son Of Schmilsson (VG/VG+) – LP, AU 1972

Son Of Schmilsson is an LP by Harry Nilsson from 1972 released on the RCA Victor label.

About this album

Son Of Schmilsson is one of Harry Nilsson’s most inventive and mischievous albums, balancing biting humour with lush pop craft. Released in 1972, it followed the breakthrough success of Nilsson Schmilsson and pushed further into eccentric, sharply written rock and pop. The record is best known for “You’re Breakin’ My Heart”, a famously caustic hit that became one of Nilsson’s signature songs, but it also moves through tender balladry and sly genre shifts with ease. Produced by Richard Perry, the album captures Nilsson at his most unpredictable and tuneful, reinforcing his reputation as one of the era’s most distinctive singer-songwriters.
