Glenn Frey – The Allnighter (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1984

The Allnighter is an LP by Glenn Frey from 1984 released on the MCA Records label.

About this album

The Allnighter is a slick, melody-driven solo album from Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey that sharpened his easygoing West Coast sound for the mid-1980s. Released in 1984, it leaned into polished rock, pop and R&B touches while keeping Frey’s smooth vocal style and knack for concise hooks front and centre. The album is best known for Smuggler’s Blues, a Top 20 hit that also boosted Frey’s profile as a solo artist and later inspired a Miami Vice episode of the same name. Built for radio but grounded in strong songwriting, it remains one of his most recognisable non-Eagles releases.
