Three Sides Live is an LP by Genesis from 1982 released on the Charisma label.
About this album
Three Sides Live captures Genesis in a transitional moment, turning the slicker pop-rock of the early Phil Collins era into a forceful live statement. Issued in 1982, the album mixes recent material such as Turn It On Again, Abacab and Misunderstanding with longer progressive pieces including In the Cage medley, Afterglow and older favourites like Firth of Fifth-era One for the Vine and The Fountain of Salmacis on some editions. Recorded across 1981 and 1982 tour dates, it shows a band able to reconcile radio-friendly hooks with the elaborate arrangements that built its reputation, making it an important document of their commercial peak and evolving sound.
