... And Then There Were Three... is an LP by Genesis from 1978 released on the Charisma, PGP RTB, Philips label.
About this album
...And Then There Were Three... is a crucial transition point for Genesis, sharpening the band's songwriting as they moved from sprawling prog towards streamlined pop rock. Released in 1978, it was their first album as a trio after Steve Hackett's departure, with Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford finding a leaner, more direct sound without abandoning the group's melodic complexity. Produced by the band with David Hentschel, the record yielded their first UK Top 10 single, Follow You Follow Me, and helped set the template for Genesis' commercial breakthrough in the years that followed. It remains one of their most important and accessible albums.
