...All The Rage is a sharp, hook-filled debut from General Public, the post-This Is Spinal Tap vehicle for former Specials and Fun Boy Three members Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger. Released in 1984, it blends ska rhythms, new wave bounce and pop-rock polish, turning the duo’s sharp social instincts into something leaner and more radio-ready. The album’s blend of restless energy and catchy songwriting helped define mid-80s British crossover pop, with standout moments such as Tenderness and Never You Done That showing how the band balanced danceable grooves with melodic immediacy and sly wit.
