Waiting is a sharp, inventive second album from Fun Boy Three, sharpening the trio’s post-punk edge with ska, reggae-pop and nervous pop hooks. Issued in 1983, it followed their breakthrough debut and confirmed the group’s talent for turning clipped rhythms, dry humour and uneasy social observation into something genuinely catchy. The record includes their version of ‘Our Lips Are Sealed’, which helped bring the song wider attention and became one of the album’s best-known moments.
