About this album

Strangers In The Night is one of Frank Sinatra’s most commercially successful late-1960s albums, balancing easy listening polish with the poise that kept him definitive. Issued in 1966, it includes the title song that became a signature hit, along with elegant standards and contemporary material such as Summer Wind, All Or Nothing At All and Call Me. Recorded in the era when Sinatra’s catalogue was increasingly shaped by orchestra-led pop and crossover appeal, the album showcases his conversational phrasing and effortless command. Its chart success and enduring title track helped confirm Sinatra’s continued relevance well beyond the swing era.
