Fleetwood Mac – Greatest Hits (Deluxe Edition) (2xLP, Limited Translucent White Vinyl)

Fleetwood Mac’s Greatest Hits (Deluxe Edition) revisits the band’s 1988 multi-platinum overview of the Buckingham-Nicks-McVie years and makes a persuasive case for a broader version of that story. The original set was designed as a snapshot of Fleetwood Mac’s run of late-’70s and ’80s radio staples; this expanded 2LP edition adds 10 songs that help it feel less like a quick summary and more like a proper survey of the era.

That matters because some of the group’s most durable songs were famously absent first time around. Here, additions including Landslide, The Chain and You Make Loving Fun restore key pieces of the band’s emotional and musical range, from intimate reflection to tense ensemble drama. Alongside hits such as “Dreams,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Everywhere” and “Little Lies,” the set traces how Fleetwood Mac moved between soft-focus pop, sharp songwriting and highly distinctive vocal interplay without losing their mainstream reach.

The compilation also keeps “As Long As You Follow” and “No Questions Asked,” the two 1988 songs that tied the original release to the band’s then-current moment. For anyone who wants the classic line-up in one place, this deluxe version is simply a more satisfying listen: still streamlined, but noticeably closer to the full shape of Fleetwood Mac’s commercial peak.
