FKJ (French Kiwi Juice) – Tyber (Transparent Clear Vinyl)

FKJ's Tyber arrives as the 2026 album from Vincent Fenton, the French multi-instrumentalist better known as FKJ, an artist who helped shape a softer, jazz-leaning strain of modern French electronic music. Here he keeps that balance of groove, melody and live-played detail in place, while opening the record up to a wider cast of voices. The album is released through his own Tyber Heart imprint, which suits music that still feels closely tied to his self-directed studio world.

Tyber is led by the single “Soulmates” and builds its character through a carefully chosen group of collaborators rather than a crowded guest list. Lucy Park, Baby Rose, Bas, Eryn Allen Kane and Labrinth each appear across the record, giving FKJ new angles on the warm synth textures, soulful songwriting and fluid musicianship that have defined his work. Sources consistently describe his approach as genre-crossing, drawing electronic production together with jazz, funk and R&B, and that mix remains central here.

What makes this album especially appealing is the way FKJ expands his sound without losing the looseness that made his solo performances so widely admired. His arrangements are still rooted in performance and atmosphere, with airy compositions, layered instrumentation and a sense of movement that can feel both laid-back and finely detailed. For anyone who came to FKJ through his live looping, Tyber sounds like a natural next step: collaborative, polished, and still unmistakably his.
