    About this album

Fabulous Disaster is one of Exodus’s most celebrated thrash albums, sharpening the band’s aggression without losing its sense of swagger. Released in 1989, it captured the Bay Area group at full tilt, with muscular riffs, gang-shouted choruses and tightly controlled chaos driving songs such as The Last Act Of Defiance, the title track and the enduring pit anthem The Toxic Waltz. The album is widely regarded as a key late-’80s thrash statement, showing Exodus balancing speed, bite and dark humour at a moment when the style was reaching its commercial peak. Its impact has made it a cornerstone of the genre.
