Erroll Garner At The Piano is an LP by Erroll Garner from 1982 released on the Avan-Guard label.

About this album

Erroll Garner is a buoyant early showcase of the pianist’s dazzling swing style and melodic imagination. Issued in 1953, it finds Garner turning standards into something instantly distinctive through his rolling left hand, buoyant rhythmic feel and playful harmonic detours. Moving between jazz, blues and piano-led swing, the album underlines why he became one of the most recognisable pianists of his era. Garner’s approach helped define a more lyrical, accessible side of modern jazz, and the record remains a clear statement of the warmth, wit and rhythmic lift that made his playing so influential.
