The Best Of Eric Carmen is an LP by Eric Carmen from 1988 released on the Arista label.
About this album
The Best Of Eric Carmen is a concise showcase of the power-pop and soft-rock songs that made his solo career resonate beyond Raspberries. Issued in 1988, the compilation brings together the sweeping balladry of All By Myself and Never Gonna Fall In Love Again with his brighter, radio-friendly side on songs such as That’s Rock ’N Roll and Hey Deanie. It also includes Hungry Eyes, the Dirty Dancing hit that introduced Carmen to a new generation. Taken together, the set highlights his gift for dramatic melodies, polished hooks and the emotional directness that made him one of the more distinctive American pop songwriters of the 1970s and ’80s.
