Elvis Presley – Elvis Blue (E/E) – LP, AU 1983

Elvis Blue is an LP by Elvis Presley from 1983 released on the Starcall Records label.

About this album

Elvis Blue brings together Elvis Presley’s blue-themed sides to underline how fluently he moved between rock ’n’ roll, blues, gospel-inflected pop and balladry. Issued in 1983, this compilation draws on material that helped make Presley one of the defining figures of post-war popular music, from early Sun-era swagger to later hits such as Blue Suede Shoes, Blue Christmas and Blue Hawaii. The set works as a compact reminder of how his voice, phrasing and sense of drama could turn simple material into enduring classics, and why his catalogue remained commercially and culturally potent long after his initial chart dominance.
