About this album

Zeichnungen Des Patienten O.T. / Drawings Of O.T. is a crucial early statement from Einstürzende Neubauten, helping define industrial music’s violent, inventive edge. Released in 1983, it pushes collision, metal percussion and musique concrète textures into bleak, highly physical forms that helped set the band apart from their post-punk contemporaries. The album’s title refers to the disturbed world of patient O.T., and the music matches that unsettling premise with abrasive rhythm, fractured structure and stark atmosphere. Widely regarded as one of the group’s landmark releases, it shows why Einstürzende Neubauten became central to European experimental music.
