Dub Side Of The Moon is a clever, affectionate reggae-dub reworking of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon by Easy Star All-Stars. Released in 2003, it helped establish the Brooklyn collective as one of the most inventive tribute acts of the era, translating a rock landmark into warm basslines, echo-heavy production and a distinctly roots-informed feel. The album won praise for treating the original’s structure with real respect while giving it a fresh rhythmic identity, making it more than a novelty cover project. Its success paved the way for later Easy Star reinterpretations and confirmed the group’s skill at turning familiar albums into something genuinely new.
