    About this album

O Zambezi is Dragon’s strongest pop-rock statement, balancing polished hooks with a sharper, more expansive band sound. Released in 1978, it helped establish the New Zealand group as one of Australasia’s most commercially successful rock acts, with Are You Old Enough becoming their best-known breakthrough and the title track reinforcing their gift for memorable melodies. The album moves between driving radio-friendly rock and more reflective writing, showing why Dragon’s late-1970s run connected so widely. Its blend of pop instinct and rock punch made O Zambezi an enduring part of the band’s catalogue.
