She Works Hard For The Money is an LP by Donna Summer from 1983 released on the Mercury label.
About this album
She Works Hard for the Money marked a sharp, modern reset for Donna Summer in 1983, reconnecting her disco authority with streamlined synth-pop and funk. The title track became one of her signature songs, turning a real-life encounter with a tired restroom attendant into a radio hit and a pointed tribute to working women. Built around polished electronic production and Summer’s commanding, emotionally direct vocal, the album showed she could evolve beyond the 1970s club era without losing her rhythmic instinct. It helped reaffirm her status as one of pop’s most adaptable and durable voices.
